The Document Camera (N200IC1) a special document camera designed with an inverted lens to easily capture and project documents. The regular flexcam does not have an inverted lens, so it's a little more difficult to show documents, unless you either twist the neck or read upside down.
With the inverted lens you can easily read the documents that you are presenting since the inverted lens allows you to see and read your documents "right-side up."
Click on the picture to see a larger image - you can see how the Document Camera is positioned in front of the text - with the inverted lens it projects the text "right-side up" - and you don't have to acquire the special skill of reading text upside down!
The camera is ideal for projecting documents or three dimensional objects when attached to LCD's, TVs, monitors or video projectors.
You can use it to present pictures or maps by connecting it to a projector or TV. You can also record the images on video or digital files to send over the internet or put them on your webpage.
Note: the camera does not have an interchangeable "c-mount lens". However, it has a special inverted lens designed specifically for document viewing - its ideal for classroom and boardroom presentation of documents, pictures and three-dimensional objects.
