Our NHC Muxlab Stereo Audio and Video Balun (Product # 500012) was desinged to work with our "Audio/Video Distribution Hub" and can also be used in pairs to transmit audio/video over long distances. It is similar to the 500003 in looks and performance but was designed to work with the new distribution Hub. The only difference is the pin-out on the RJ45 connector since the Hub requires a "straight pin-out" on the Cat 5 - that way you can buy Cat 5 with the RJ45 connectors attached or crimp your own RJ45 to the Cat 5. You can also route the twisted pair cable through a patch panel first. As long as the total distance is within specification, the connection will work fine. The # 500003 can also be used with the distribution hub but the RJ45 pin-out has to be modified. Email us if you plan on using the 500003 with the distribution hub.
